Gold Coast Airport Marathon

Get in shape and join the renowned Gold Coast Airport Marathon from July 6 to 7, 2013. The 42 kilometre marathon course will run along The Surfers Paradise Esplanade. One of the most popular Gold Coast events, more than 5,000 runners will be expected to run the marathon this year.

There will be a ‘fun run’ or a race for all ages and abilities. Beginners are welcome to join. There will also be a Half Marathon, 10km Run, 5.7km Challenge, 4km junior dash, and of course, the full Gold Coast Airport Marathon.

The Gold Coast Airport Marathon course is known for its fast and flat course. Participants can expect a smooth run. Many athletes have achieved their personal best times during the Gold Coast Airport Marathon.

Pat Carroll Online Pace Runners will be provided in the marathon and half marathon to assist participants in achieving their goals.

There will also be water stations every 2.5km along the Marathon route and refreshment stations located every 5 kms serving Endura lemon & Lime electrolyte. An Endura Carbohydrate Gel station will be available at the 30km marker for marathon runners only. The recovery area will be offering water, Endura and fruit.  

Toilets are located at regular intervals along the course and will be clearly signed.

You may store your belongings at Suncorp Bank Left Luggage which is located on the Main Event Lawn. Opening hours are 5:30am - 12noon Saturday 6th July and 5am - 2pm Sunday 7th July, 2013. The friendly Cancer Council Queensland staff will securely store your items until you return.

For participants who are unable to finish the race, there will be Aid Stations. GCAM will also have roving First Aid Teams and Queensland Ambulance Service Response units on course.
