This coming June, the city of Gold Coast will once again celebrate the biggest event of the season, 2011 Surfers Paradise Festival. Along with its festive treats and shindigs, the Festival will feature an array of widely popular events and cultural programs such as this year’s In the Bin Workshops.
Taking place on 29 June to 1 July 2011 at Circle on Cavill, In The Bin provides a platform for the up and coming filmmakers where they are taught and trained by professionals on how to produce, create and edit a film. Guests at our Surfers Paradise family accommodation at Raffle Royale Apartments can take part in all the exciting workshop activities that will surely enhance your knowledge and skills in film making.
For two days, participants will know more about camera and jib operation, using sound and lighting, using a green-screen and editing on professional systems. Participants will be using state of the art industry standard cameras, computers, and software. The interactive In the Bin Workshop will show you how to shoot for effects as well as tracking techniques, picture in picture effects, sound overlays, and croma-key effects as well as using an editing time frame. How to properly shoot sports footage will also be taught in the workshop.
Guests at our apartments Gold Coast holiday who will be participating in the Workshop are also encouraged to take some footage at other events in Surfers Paradise Festival particularly the ‘Ride: Surf, Skate, Bike’ event. The footage will be used as a materials that be edited and developed in the workshops. The footage that were taken by the students will also be presented at the One Way Project Street Party as a part of the culminating event for In the Bin Workshops in Surfers Paradise Festival.
