Wicked is a fun-for-all-the-family musical coming to Home of the Arts with an exclusive return run this July.
Coming direct from Broadway and the West End, Wicked is the internationally successful musical production of Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, the 2003 novel by Gregory Maguire which took the classic tale of The Wizard of Oz and spun it on its head.
Retold from the viewpoints of student witches Glinda and Elphaba, Wicked features exciting new twists, catchy musical numbers, and immersive sets and costumes that will have the whole family captivated from beginning to end.

An Evening at The Pink Poodle
Celebrate the 60s like never before with An Evening at The Pink Poodle - a live homage to the music of the 60s with a special focus on The Pink Poodle, a famous motel in Surfers Paradise which opened in 1967.
Presented by theatre company Running Duck and featuring a live performance from legendary pop singer-songwriter Normie Rowe, An Evening at The Pink Poodle is an inspired throwback capturing the very essence of Surfers Paradise in the 60s with music, dancing and the unique storytelling skills of the highly talented Running Duck.

Dancing on the Green - NAIDOC Celebrations
Dancing on the Green is a monthly dance-off on the lawn in front of HOTA’s brand new Outdoor Stage, and this July, there will be a full morning of celebratory dancing for NAIDOC Week.
Come along for an unmissable lineup of renowned Australian musicians and performers as they kickstart the month with live music and dancing in light of NAIDOC, which pays homage to the Indigenous Australian culture and history of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. It’s a two-hour mini-festival under the sun for all ages and backgrounds!
Dancing on the Green is the perfect excuse to warm up this winter and a fun treat for families over the school holiday - don’t miss NAIDOC Celebrations at Home of the Arts on July 7.
Possum Magic - the successful children’s book by celebrated Australian author Men Fox - comes to life on stage in a brand new production by Monkey Baa Theatre Company.
Possum Magic follows the adventurous tale of Grandma Poss and the invisible young possum Hush. Grandma Hush has forgotten the bush magic to make Hush visible again, which sends them both on a culinary adventure around Australia in an attempt to relearn her magical recipe.
Released in 1983, Possum Magic was an instant success that has now sold over 3-million copies worldwide. Now coming to the stage, kids and adults alike can marvel at the story all over again with two unmissable performances at Home of the Arts Surfers Paradise.
